#Batman2022 is not a trendy superhero movie, it's harsh, cruel and realistic for grown-ups, not for the family. Near 3 hours long, definitely not for the kids, and not bladder-friendly.
It would be grateful if you exit the theater with sunlight welcoming you, in order to get rid of all the non-stop rain (& the flood ) & gloomy mood that you were almost drowned in it.
Could it be a market concern that the 1st one who has been saved by the Batman is an Asian.
#RobertPattinson is no doubt a charmer, especially his chin and chest. His facial skin condition is devastating, thanks to the workout training, his topless performace is attractive. But why does he has to be half-naked while searching for the evidence from all the clues in the form of physical pictures and with white sprays on the ground?
He perfoms better in Batman suit, and when in Bruce Wayne, there's no traits of suave and posh that represent the wealth from his father's legacy.
And for the Batman appearance, this is not a high-tech gadgets/weapons and extravagant supercars Batman franchise. It's nostalgic when the vigilante drives old-fashioned cars. Funny how no big car maker sponsors? Maybe the DA's RV is the only visibile brand. Speaking of tech, the funny stuff is that when the invincible escaped from the police tower and dive into the streets, his costume transformed into a flying squirrel, WTF is that? Why can't the cape turned into something useful as wings or what. And the flying squirrel suit can't even land him well, it has to be a small parachute that almost trapped him between the overpass and the vehicle, how embarrassing. And the chest suit gimmick is not even a boomerang, it's only a fancy logo knife.
#ZoëKravitz is the show-stopper here, she's not only hot, you may say that she's the only fire that burns and glows in this humid film. She's also nimble, agile and really good at fighting scenes. She almost stole the glitter of the vengence guy.
The romance setting is indeed the reflection of the modern heterosexual relationship: girls are way more proactive than boys. The Cat girl kisses the Bat boy a couple times, with or without his awareness. And the otherway around, none.
#AndySerkis has his own version of Alfred, if you've seen some roles he's been played in such as Hobbits nad Black Panther, the credits are really on him, apart from his supporting character.
New to me, maybe the new story.
(1) Thomas Wayne was a authentic and dutiful doctor who once saved a villain's life under the professional oath and that put him into a dilemma.
(2) Riddler is not only good at making creepy puzzles, writing physical cards, organizing evil plots and a horrible agitator, he's also an excellent sniper. What a talented orphan went into a strayed way.
In terms of superhero universe build-up. Marvel takes a unified and abundant way, while #DC seems like not having a clue at all, maybe it's on WB. Do DC&WB want to play a diversified strategy or what? If this one is meant to be a sequal to the #Joker2019, in the artistic way, not even closer. Well, in the ending scene that the nextdoor wicked inmate of Riddler is unrecognizable, and not possilbe to be the #JusticeLeague villain. So, I'm totally confused, and really hope that DC&WB in union will be a honorable competitor to Marvel Studios.
This film deals with some serious issues as Batman series always have. On top of the systematic corruption, this time it tries to deal with lies within lies, vengence backfire and orphan definition. Riddler and his followers are embarrassingly the reflection of Bruce Wayne's vengence, as on the premise of being an orphan, wealthy or not seems like to be the root of being benign or malignant to the city.
After all, Gothan City is the stage and playground of this superhero, and he's confined in this area for good.
